AERIAL HOOP

The aerial hoop (also known as Lyra) is a traditional aerial apparatus that is used to improve strength, increase flexibility, and body awareness.

Pole Place offers aerial hoop classes (students will be sharing apparatus) on a 7 to 8-week session basis. You can sign up for the entire session ( highly recommended) or attend a class as drop-in.

Our next session will run from March 2nd  until May 3rd, 2020 (8 weeks); one class per week, with no class on April 8  and 12 (Easter long weekend). The Lyra classes will be offered on Wednesdays and Sundays, you will need to choose one of these days as your weekly class.

Price for one 7-week session is $140 plus HST; 8-week session is $160 plus HST. Drop-in price is $25 plus HST. The purchase is FINAL, and no refunds or extensions will be given. Spots are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.

If you register for a full 7- or 8-week session and miss a class, you can attend our Open Pole/Hoop class and practice on your own (this class is not instructed; the teacher will be on site for spotting, but not for teaching). You can’t substitute your missed hoop classes and attend a pole class instead.

Every hoop class begins with a warm-up, followed by conditioning, learning/reviewing new skills, sequences, and cool-down/light stretching.

Recommended attire: long pants and long sleeve shirts; please remove all jewelry, clothes with zippers, and hoodies before the class.

This class is for adults, and you must be over 18 years of age to participate.

The hoop is a perfect way for pole dancers to cross train. If you would like to gain more upper body strength and increase your range of motion - then give Lyra a try!
